Hyundai, Kia join Avanci Video as licensors

After Vestel and Ericsson successively announced their joining of Avanci Video, the logos of three South Korean entities, namely Hyundai, Kia, and Kyung Hee University, appeared on the list of licensors.

The entry of the two automotive brands marks the first time that car manufacturers have joined the licensor side.

This also provides a new way for other car manufacturers to monetize their patents.
